Refund Policy
Last updated 30 August 2026
1. The short version
You buy kits before you use them, and the kits you buy do not expire, so there is no renewal date to watch and, unless you have signed a separate agreement with us, nothing to cancel. A kit is not refundable once it has been generated. If a run failed on our side, tell us and we will put it right. This section is a summary of the ones that follow, and where it differs from them they govern.
2. Buying kits, and cancelling
Kits are bought before they are used. You pay once, the kits are added to your account, and there is no recurring charge and no renewal. We do not bill you again unless you buy again.
That means there is normally nothing to cancel. You can stop using the service whenever you like, without telling us and without a fee, and the kits you have already bought stay on your account. Section 5 says what happens to the ones you have not used.
If you have signed a separate agreement with us, that agreement and its order form set out its term, how it renews, how either of us ends it, and what happens to any kits it includes, and they govern that arrangement instead of this section. The rest of this policy still applies to it, except where that agreement says otherwise, and section 8 applies whatever it says.
Your work does not disappear if you stop buying. Your account stays open and your existing runs, images and listing copy remain available to you.
3. Consumed kits are not refundable
A kit is one generation run: the images and listing content produced from one submission. A kit is consumed when generation runs, whether or not you are happy with what came back.
That is not a technicality. A run costs us the same to perform whether you love the result or discard it, which is why an unsatisfying result is not treated as an unused one. Each kit includes up to 10 regenerations or edits of its images. Anything beyond that, or re-running the whole submission, uses another kit.
So the answer to the common question is: we do not refund kits because the output was not what you hoped for. Section 4 covers the case where the output is not what we promised.
4. When a run fails on our side
If a run fails, produces nothing, or returns something clearly broken because of a fault in our pipeline or an outage at one of our providers, that is on us. Tell us and we will put the kit back on your account, or re-run it, whichever you prefer.
The remedy here is a kit or a re-run rather than money back, because a kit is what the failed run actually spent. Where a fault ran long enough, or wide enough, that putting a kit back does not cover it, ask, and section 6 applies.
Report a failed run within 30 days of it happening, so we can still see it in our logs.
5. Unused kits do not expire
Kits you have bought from us and not used stay on your account. They do not expire, we do not withdraw them if you go quiet for a while, and there is no date by which you have to spend them. The one exception is the one the terms of service set out: an account we end for repeated infringement keeps nothing.
Because a kit is bought outright rather than rented for a period, there is no unused part of a period to pro-rate and nothing left over to refund at the end of one. What you have not spent is still yours to spend.
We do not normally buy unused kits back for cash, because they keep their value on your account instead of running out. If you bought by mistake, or bought and then changed your mind before using anything, section 6 is the route.
6. When we will refund
We review these case by case and we would rather sort it out than argue about it. We will normally refund:
- a duplicate charge, or a second charge for the same purchase;
- a charge on an account that was not yours to be charged for;
- a purchase you tell us about promptly, if none of the kits it bought have been used;
- a purchase whose kits a fault on our side made substantially unusable, where we could not put it right;
- unused kits we can no longer honour because we have discontinued, or materially reduced, the part of the service they were bought for.
7. Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, email us before you raise a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback freezes the account while it is investigated and takes longer to resolve than an email to us does. We will always try to sort a billing problem out directly first.
8. Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law where you live. Where that law gives you more than this page does, that law applies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do we will change the date at the top of this page. A change does not apply retroactively to a charge already made.
10. How to reach us
Email legal@frontpiece.ai from the address on your account, and include what happened and roughly when. If a run failed, the listing it belonged to is enough for us to find it.
This policy sits under the terms of service, which explain kits and credits in full, and it is part of the agreement between you and Frontpiece LLC, a Texas limited liability company (filing number 1616516830003).
